Who I Am

Hello! I'm Chiara Groot Roessink, a 24-year-old photographer from the Netherlands. Born in Deventer and raised in Raalte, I specialize in creative portraiture, animal and pet photography, fantasy-inspired imagery, and fine art. Through my lens, I aim to tell stories that captivate and inspire.

My Journey and Passion for Photography

Photography became a natural extension of my lifelong love for creative expression. As a child, I explored drawing, painting, crafting, and even music. When cameras became easily accessible—whether through family equipment or smartphones—I discovered my passion for freezing moments in time. Having dogs and later cats in my life further deepened my love for capturing the essence of animals.

I initially pursued media design studies at Cibap Zwolle, but I quickly realized photography was my true calling. This realization led me to transfer to the photography program at Deltion College Zwolle. While personal challenges delayed my formal path, they strengthened my resolve to pursue this art wholeheartedly.

My Mission

My mission is to craft visual stories that celebrate beauty, spark imagination, and evoke a sense of wonder. Whether it's rekindling the joy of your inner child or transporting you to a fantastical world, I aim to create meaningful, magical works that leave lasting memories—and stunning art—to cherish forever.
